Congrats, Sean! Hope everything will be perfect for school year of 2011-2012 along. The CSD will be exciting to work with you. Hope it will keep school run good. I don’t know you were an CSD alumni, how awesome it is and now you will be doing everything for CSD and Deaf Community. Wish you good luck for new school year this fall. Once again, congratulation, Sean!!

Congrats to Sean Virnig! I was hoping that our first new Superintendent would be someone who was never our former CSD alumni. I personally feel that the job announcement for Superintendent was made too fast and too rush. However, I appreciate the state people welcome our community for inputs. They made sure that I was heard…I know it didn’t mean they must listen to me but to give me chance to be heard. They did not censor several of my messages. They always replied to my messages…whereas two websites ran by Deaf sites censored my comments. How ironic! This journey has taught me so much and I am becoming more comfortable to go directly to the system because they are not evils as many portrayed them to be. I felt valued and that my messages were heard. I hope Sean will avoid playing favorism. One of the job responsibilites is that Sean needs to work with hearing parents so he can maintain high number of enrollment otherwise state can close our school. We can’t afford to let this happen to our school. I hope Sean will play fair to ALL staff workers, parents and students. He can’t afford to favor his “gang” or ignore students who come from hearing family background. I care about qualities first. Again congrats to Sean and wish him the best and success.
