Tim, I agree with you about his feeling and protected  his deaf daughter. Somewhat I found out that Judge received angry mother charge Shaun today.   I am not quiet sure if the you-tube already removed video.Margaret aka Deaf Pixie

I am a hearing mom of hearing children that do use ASL. I think that what is being done, to this father and his child, is cruel! No one should be allowed to force a child to wear these implants! This beautiful child is deaf and has a deaf parent and that is that! Let her choose when she is older. My heart breaks for this father and his daughter! I pray all will turn out well for you both.

Shaun is a good friend of mine and a good father.  It brakes my heart to see him going through hell with the court & it’s because the girl’s mother started it all and didn’t know what the hell she’s doing.  The court is tomorrow and us deaf people will be there to support Shaun.  Hopefully, the charge will be dropped.

The charges were dropped because they wouldn’t stick as the attorney that wrote up the order made the wording of the stipulation say “must wear all their “working” hours” instead of “waking” hours. But after the judge allowed the modification of the custody order to be heard BEFORE the contempt was heard even though the petition to modify was BASED on the contempt, the mom got what she wanted–limiting Shaun’s time with their child.

But she sued again to modify the custody order AGAIN a year later and is trying to get sole custody. The judge will now make his decision. If she wins, Shaun will have no more say over his daughter’s education, or when he can see her or even communicate with her.
